It is interesting to note that the news media is all about education in India. The media is constantly talking about new and exciting schools and college admissions. However, there seems to be a gap in the news stories about the education of the Telangana state government and the Telangana Christian University.
Telangana is the largest state in India, with a population of more than 80,000 people. While you can be in Telangana from anywhere in the country, you need to be in Telangana from a higher state than you are in the United States.
The Telangana Christian University is the government-run state-approved university in the Telangana state. Telangana Christian University has four campuses: Vellore, Hyderabad, Alapuzha, and Guntur. But the only one that’s open to the public is the Guntur campus, which is located in Guntur. It’s a tiny campus, so it’s unlikely that students will go there.
I know the Telangana Christian University is a very small campus, but it’s still a private university. So why the secrecy? Well, it’s because the university’s president and vice-president, respectively, are very close friends with the Telangana government. So if Telangana Christian University wants to be a part of Telangana’s public life, they have to be very discreet about it.
You will hear a lot from the people that are in the news about Telangana schools and colleges over the course of the week. They got a lot of questions about how they will be funded and whether it will be possible to have them open for a couple of months to study for their exams. One of the most obvious things that people will ask is that they know how many schools and colleges are open for a semester.
The answer to this question is “a lot.” Telangana has one of the largest numbers of schools and colleges that you’ll find anywhere in India, and only about a little over 300 are open for a semester. The number of those that are open for a semester is about 50% of the number of schools and colleges in other states. So we have to be very, very discreet about it.
It turns out that Telangana also has a lot of schools in non-english speaking areas (like the Indian states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu). So we do have to be very, very, very, very discreet about this.
Telangana is probably the most populous of the three states, with total population of over 1.2 million. Telangana has about a third of India’s students and a quarter of its colleges(including all the public ones). So we have to be very, very, very, very, very, very very, discreet about it.
Telangana has a high concentration of schools in the English speaking areas, about 80% of the colleges and nearly half the schools. This is probably because Telangana was ruled by a majority of Indian people who spoke English. It’s probably also because Telangana has a lot of English-speaking people (both in the government and business sector) who don’t trust the English. This has left Telangana with the lowest literacy rate in India of all the states.
In the same way that no one outside of India speaks Telugu, the same is true of English. This is probably because of the government’s decision to give Telangana the “Telangana option” of statehood over the other Indian states. In Telangana, English is taught in all schools and colleges.
