French pose involves a stretch and pose that is known for being relatively painless. While you may be thinking “This isn’t a pose!” you are right. It takes practice and, in fact, is one of the most difficult poses on the human body.
French pose, as you may have guessed, is also one of the most difficult poses. What has been described as French pose in the past is actually a very simple pose. In fact, it’s a simple, stretch-and-raise pose. The reason it’s so easy is because the core part of this pose has been known as the “baseline” for a very long time.
The human body is the most complicated thing in the universe. We need to have a core to our body, or else we’re just not human. So when someone suggests “just don’t do that,” there is usually some truth behind that statement. But the person who is suggesting you don’t do the pose is probably either very new to yoga or has never done a pose in the way we do it.
