I just read that the average person has over 4,000 thoughts a day, but the average person only thinks 1,350,000 thoughts a day.
That’s a lot of thoughts! But it’s also true that most of these thoughts are in your head, and so they don’t matter. When we say we think “100,000 thoughts” and then we say we’ve thought “100,000 thoughts”, it’s easy to think that the “100,000” is a lie. But it’s not.
There are two reasons why we think 100,000 thoughts. 1. We are very bad at thinking less. And 2. when we think, we don’t forget that we are human-like animals. We actually think over and over again. And its because these thoughts are like tiny pieces of our brain that can be put back together to make a whole, that we actually remember all the thoughts we have had over a day or two.
When we think, we are just thinking. We are just thinking out loud. But when we keep thinking long enough, it becomes automatic. It is because thoughts build up over time that we actually remember them. We don’t think like we use to- we have to remind ourselves to think so that we remember. And when we just think, we dont remember. We just remember. But when we have enough of a thought, we remember all the thoughts we have had.

The problem with this is that if we think too long, we get lazy and we don’t remember what we thought. We forget how much we thought and we just remember what we are doing. Our thought process is the way we think about things.
